Every wedding I photograph is special, but this wedding was EXTRA special. This was my first time shooting a wedding for a Bride whom I have known since she was born. Brianna is my cousin’s daughter and for a brief time I even lived with their family when I was 18. I remember picking up Brianna from elementary school in her mom’s suburban blaring Tim McGraw music and Brianna was such a “fish” — we were always in the backyard swimming in the pool.
A lot of time has passed since then… she grew up, graduated high school, started dating Casey, graduated college, got engaged and it was time to party it up for her wedding day!
I started the day hanging out with the ladies at her friends house.
(HUGE thanks to Aaron from The Hoskins for second shooting/assisting this wedding with me)
We headed over to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Avondale to get Bri in her dress. Love the sweet moment with her mom.
The most beautiful bride!
There is nothing better than having your girls by your side.
The guys were finishing up their final getting ready over at the reception hall.
I always love doing a first look with the Bride’s dad. Such precious moments.
The guys were a freaking riot. Definitely a fun group.
The church was absolutely beautiful!
Here comes the bride…
You may not be able to see it here, but I know there was a tear there for his beautiful bride.
YES!!!! They are married!
It time to head to the reception!
First dance with a dip at the end.
I loved that one of the groomsmen gave Casey and actual piece of toast before he gave his toast. Bri’s reaction priceless!
Bri and her dad planned a whole medley of songs to dance too. It was hilarious!
No choreographed dance here, just a momma enjoying a dance with her son.
DANCE PARTY!!!!!
I usually try to “steal” the bride and groom to grab a few photos before the sun goes down. So glad I did. Perfect light.
Time to throw that bouquet!
Bri’s sister, who is still in high school, caught the bouquet!
Garter toss.. these guys took it seriously.
I knew there was bound to be some cake on the face!
The last dances of the night!
A sparkly and smoky end to a beautiful wedding!
